Review: Taylor Swift - Mean - The Video

MEAN!!!! WHY ARE YOU SO MEAN?!
Yes, It's my 1st Ever Taylor Swift post here on UnboxTheProduct. 1 Thing I have to say beforehand.
I LOVE TAYLOR SWIFT
Yes, I do. I absolutely positively do. But, she's like the top 2. Top 1 is Gaga, In case you didn't know.

Yes, The Video for "MEAN" has finally dropped and I.Loved.It. Taylor took on the role to be the anti-bully herself!!! After Katy, then Gaga, Then Selena, then Jessie J, and now, Taylor Swift!!!!  This is one of the most empowering videos I have ever watched. It surpassed my amazement from Selena's "Who Says" which talks about natural beauty, but this is Just Taking bullies D-O-W-N!! The Lyrics are so damn true!

Watch the Amazing Video and my Review after the Jump! =)

Synopsis and Interpretation:

Well, like Taylor Swift, her videos have the Storyline within the Music. The music itself tells a story; another reason why I love this woman. Plus, Joey King (Ramona and Beezus) is in this video!!! She's a bullied, along with 2 other oppressed people; a gay fashionista, and a seemingly poor dreamer who wants to go to college.

It starts with Taylor singing the lines to the 1st verse in a country-inspired set. As the 1st Verse progresses, it shows the Gay Fashionista (who looks alot like Kurt Hummel from Glee) in a locker room, holding a Fashion magazine, and getting bullied by the jocks. As she sings the chorus, the country set lights up and a shot of the Fashionista lip-syncing some of the lyrics.

During the second verse, she is shown in a setup similar to the single cover. Tied up in railroad track like those classic movies, where the damsel in distress gets tied up. The villain, on the other hand, is just prancing around and dancing around Taylor. Then, the college aspirant shows up in a scene in a literally cheesy fast food restaurant, where she is bullied too. She is later shown entering her bedroom and putting in her salary in a piggy bank labeled "college". AWWW How cute.  The chorus starts and she is shown also lip-syncing to the lyrics too. As the chorus progresses, Joey King enters the scene.  She is shown in a tea-party, but sadly, she was bullied to and avoided by her fellow girls.

The breakdown is Taylor singing the lines, mostly in her damsel scene, and his kidnapper is getting drunk with a friend. Joey King is then shown, sad and alone in the restroom, and lip-syncing some of the lyrics of the song.

Then, the final chorus starts with Taylor and her band on Broadway and New-York with this stunningly elaborate stage, and Taylor dances. As the song ends, it shows the fashionista, successful a now running runway shows and a fashion designer, the College girl, now an owner of a big company with her diploma neatly framed on the wall. Then there's Joey. It is revealed that she is watching Taylor perform at the stage as if Joey is idolizing Taylor. As the song ends, Joey flashes a cute smile, and applauds.

OVERALL RATING: 5 STARS

Yes, I love it that much. I'm never disappointed of Taylor's work and music. It's just amazing. The messgae that this video contains just adds power to the lyrics of the song. Joey King is an excellent person in this!!! I just love that girl! Keep up the good work, Tay! LoveLots, J.
