Review: Britney Spears "Hold It Against Me" Music Video

IT'S BRITNEY, BITCH
She's Back! Pop Artist Britney Spears just released her new Music Video (Feb.17,2011) On VEVO and MTV. After a set of previews of the highly anticipated video, It's Finally Here.

This is considered her comeback after her single "3" from her The Singles Collection CD
This is Directed By: Jonas Akerlund, Also Director of Lady Gaga's Telephone Video.

Let's Get Started With the Review After The Jump!
SYNOPSIS:

The Video Starts with a Red Meteor Falling, Presumably Britney. And the Video Starts in a futuristic studio-like set which is very crowded. The first verse then starts with Britney, sporting a White Bra, Pink Gloves, a Panty, and some Boots, Surrounded by men dressing up.
I Think I Already Seen the Gloves she wears here. Similar to Lady Gaga's Gloves for Fingers. Just Saying!
She then sprays some of her Radiance Perfume on herself while putting on a Denim Jacket. A short shot of the Paris Make-Up For Ever Professional and then she wears it.  Talk about Product Placement.

The Chorus then starts with Britney wearing an over sized gown, Singing lines of the song, with her past music videos playing in the Backdrop. She's also wearing the Gloves for Fingers again. This Time, More similar to Gaga's but with IV Needles. The set is very intricate and crowded at the same time.

The 2nd Verse then starts with Britney, wearing an Over-Sized Ring Pop (lol jk) going to Plenty Of Fish, a website seen in Lady Gaga's Telephone and Ke$ha's We R Who We R. Apparently, the laptop is touch-screen and it is Branded SONY. Another product placement; talk about subtleness.
A series of Black and White shots show Jonas Akerlund's Name. Britney is then shown singing the lines, and dancing some steps. Another shot is Britney wearing Red Shoulder Pads in a Microphone Wreath. Another shot is Britney's Lips only, all painted RED over a black backdrop, singing. Similar to the Rocky Horror Show opening.

The 2nd Chorus then Starts with her dancers falling slowly, again showing her in the white gown, and 4 Creepy No-Eyed Dancers emerging from inside her gown wearing white. Similar to Lady Gaga's Bad Romance Dancers huh. Again, her past music videos are playing behind her.

The breakdown then starts with a short frame showing the SONY Logo again. In around 2:43 Minutes into the video, her smile really creeps me out, it reminds me of Why So Serious?. She then starts spewing paint or dye from he IV-Fingers, Staining the monitors and her dress. A big fight scene then ensues. It appears to  be Britney fighting Herself, Probably a symbolism of the Real-Life Britney Vs. The Showbiz Britney, How Creative. The first fight scene I have ever seen... In Heels! This is probably the best part of the video. She then appears as a silhouette along with her dancers, Dancing. Then, the Britney with a gown falls down of exhaustion, Followed by the 2 Britneys Fighting, Falling Down.. The silhouette Britney continues to dance, the three Britneys stand up again, leading to the final chorus.

The Final chorus is mostly All-Dance. Britney wearing an Elaborate Black Leotard along with her dancers.
The set is full of pyrotechnics. And Confetti falls. Then the song ends with all her dancers on the ground, and Britney as the only left standing. It then says "?"

OVERALL RATING: 4 STARS

The Music Video was great and all, Containing all the Britney video Factors like The Facial Close-Ups and complicated Choreography but this Video is Just too full with PRODUCT PLACEMENT. She Could have made it more subtle with the Make-Up For Ever, or Radiance, or SONY.  And i can see about 4 References to other media. Like the Gloves, The ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW Lips, and PLENTYOFFISH.com But Overall, this music video is great and the choreography is good but I don't get the concept of using No-Eyed Dancers.
