Review: Ke$ha "Blow" Music Video

Ke$ha once again amazed me with her New Music Video, "BLOW" from her new Album/EP, CANNIBAL (Which I'm Planning to buy) If you don't know Ke$ha, well, you live under a rock. She only sang hits like

"Tik Tok", "Take It Off", "Blah, Blah, Blah feat. 3OH!3", "Your Love Is My Drug" & "We R Who We R".

Let's Get Started With The Review After the Jump!

SYNOPSIS:

It starts with a disclaimer that says: No mythological creatures were harmed in the making in this video.

The Video Starts with Ke$ha talking to a couple of people with unicorn heads. She was actually telling a story. Here's how it goes:

So I grabbed the bear by the throat, looked him right in the eyes and said

"Bear, You have to the count of Zero to put your pants on, and apologize to the president."

And um.. That's the story of how I was elected to the parliament of Uzbekistan.

Ke$ha is then shown in another shot, Laughing, and saying "Dance." 

Then the song begins. She is then shown again with the two unicorns, and is given a small Cheese-like food.

She then looks suspiciously at the man and finally eats it, with full pink glossy lips (and a bit of tongue).

Then the video goes back to Ke$ha singing the first verse in a sequined, black, long-sleeved leotard with two unicorn-headed-people. While she is singing, it goes back to the storyline. The suspicious man stands up, and Ke$ha follows, still with a suspicious look in her eyes. Ke$ha licks a unicorn, then they walk towards each other.

The Chorus then kicks off with Ke$ha making the "Gun Hand", singing the lyrics. Caressing and rubbing herself in the process. Back to the storyline and the man primps up, Ke$ha kisses a unicorn by the mouth and Ke$ha sings the rest of the chorus.

The 2nd Verse starts with the singing Ke$ha, then back to the storyline. The man removes his sleeves and the rest of his black polo. Back to Ke$ha singing the rest of the 2nd verse and then the chorus starts.

Ke$ha reaches her hand into her chest, and pulls out her bra. Raising one of her eyebrows to the man as she throws it away. The man, to my surprise, also reaches in to his chest and pulls out... a BRA, then throws it away. Ke$ha tilts her head in confusion, then the man smiles. The singing Ke$ha then finishes the chorus.

The breakdown starts with the man and Ke$ha, face to face, talking. here's how the conversation went like this:

Ke$ha: Well, well, well. If it isn't James Van Der Douche.

James: I don't appreciate you slander-beaking my name, Ke-Dollar Sign-Ha.

Ke$ha: Thank you for the snack. It was quite delicious. 

James: My Pleasure.

Ke$ha: Was that -- Monster Cheese tickling my taste buds?

James: Of course. Monster is like edible lactose gold.

Ke$ha: Agreed. Shall we dance?

James: Let's.

Then they walk the opposite direction. Back to Ke$ha singing the final lyrics of the breakdown.

The final chorus than starts with James shooting Ke$ha with a gun which misses and hits a unicorn, Rainbow light starts flooding in. Ke$ha returns the favor and tries to shoot James, and an epic James Bond-Ish Gunfight ensues. Hitting unicorns and spreading rainbow-colored unicorn blood all over the place during the process. The song ends with James, being shot in the arm, and falls. James tries to reach for his gun, but Ke$ha steps on his arm.

An epilogue takes place. 

James: Truce?

Ke$ha: Neh.

Ke$ha aims the gun, James gasped, and next thing you know, his head is neatly hung on a wall.

With the name: James Van Der Dead written on a plaque below it.

Unicorns are laughing and Ke$ha plastically laughs along with them. And a close-up shot of a unicorn, Ke$ha and James. Then the Video ends.

OVERALL RATING: 5 Stars

It's great to see Ke$ha not doing those sweaty party songs and see a change in her style. BLOW's Video is a much more sophisticated and classy video. The storyline is great and I love the unicorn headed people concept, AND the rainbow blood. lol. This is definitely my favorite Ke$ha Video YET.
