Review: Willow - 21st Century Girl Music Video

Yes. Willow's Back, with a catchier song than ever. Her New Single, 21st Century Girl boasts tremendously good rhythm and bass. This song is about Willow being.. well, a 21st Century Girl.
Willow is just starting, and she's already ahead of the game. She knows how to sing.

In case you didn't know, Willow Smith is the Daughter of Will Smith & Jada Pinkett-Smith and brother of Jaden Smith. Her 1st Single is called "Whip My Hair" and this is her 2nd single.

The music video is basically a Performance+Storyline. They build a city (New York) out of the ruins.

Watch the Video and Read the Review After The Jump!!!

SYNOPSIS:

The video starts with an aboriginal woman walking in a desert. As she was walking, she finds a bone of what seems to be a Pelvis (?!) I don't honestly know. She shrieks as she finds it and picks it up. She lays it neatly on the sand again and throws in some jewelry and accessories. She prays over it, then the sand starts to tremble and the artifacts sink. A golden cloth then crawls out, then molds into a visage of a girl. The aboriginal woman then whispers something to Willow (In Case You Didn't know by then). Willow's face is shown and she looks around; The woman disappears. She picks up a handful of sand and the sand erupts on her hand and she smiles. A butterfly is shown in her hand and it flies away; Which signals the start of the song.

Willow struts along the deserts as she is singing the lines of the first verse. The music video is mostly performance mixed with a storyline.

The chorus starts with Willow pulling out a guitar from the sand and strums it. And she is shown running with a pack of wolves, then we find her running with a bevy of girls, which leads us to the 2nd Verse.

The 2nd Verse start with Willow singing the lines and a girl is shown, pulling out a Pair of Nike shoes. There is another scene where Willow is singing while the other girls are partying in her backdrop. Other shots are shown of Girls, pulling out a Skateboard, Parking Meter, and a Bike from the sand.

The chorus then starts with a girl, pulling out a Vintage Cadillac car, and the chorus progresses with Kids pulling out an apartment from the sand, and a bevy, holding chains, pulling out a Skyscraper out from the sand.

The breakdown starts with Willow, singing and her backdrop is a group of building being pulled of the sand, and a city being built is shown. She is also shown running to a bus stop, looks at a mirror, spins, and changes clothes instantly. She smiles then leaves.

The final chorus starts with Willow, along with other kids, walking around the streets of what they just resurrected. Willow is shown breakdancing with some shots of other girls, dancing too. She is then showed whispering something to a 3-year old kid and walks away. The kid is then shown opening her hand, now with sand, and finds a butterfly on her hand. The butterfly then flies away, and the girl chases it. then the video ends.

OVERALL RATING: 5 Stars

Yes, I loved this new video of Willow.I also loved her previous music video, Whip My Hair. She is young for this tremendous talent and vocal ability. I love the overall sound of this song, I have seen Willow perform on Ellen and she could truly sing. I also loved the concept of this video. Basically rebuilding a city out of its ruins. Willow is truly a 21st Century Girl.

SMILEY! :) lol.

NEXT UP: I don't know yet. Maybe its a surprise. ;)
