Katy is back with her new single, E.T. (feat. Kanye West) ! Honestly, I don't like the song with Kanye. The original version is the best. "Yo Kanye, Imma Let You Finish, But E.T. without you is the best version of all Time..Of All Time!!!"
So, Yes, I don't like it with Kanye.
Other than that, I love this song!!! I'm in love with it since It played the first time on my iPod! The lyrics are amazing... Yet, the music video is really weird, But I think I have an interpretation for that..

SYNOPSIS:
The video starts with the camera rolling over a deserted place; the Earth. There's static in the background but eventually turns to a Vintage+Old song. The camera continues to roll, and a robot is shown into screen. With it's center part, shaped like a teardrop, glowing red, like fire. The screen fades to black and shows a shot of a shuttle falling down from the sky. The song begins.
Kanye's 1st Verse starts with him singing in the falling spacecraft, not in alien attire (which sucks), and going all techy-techy on the holographic screens like Tron. The rap verse ends with the spacecraft shooting into space, and a floating entity comes to view.
The first verse then starts with the Pure alien Katy, falling from the sky, gracefully spinning the cloth around with her. A short shot of her close-up alien face and some vintage videos were shown then Alien-Katy sings the lines, well, looking like a total alien. As she falls, she transforms into human form, but with alien-like attributes. A series of vintage videos are shown, like flowers blooming, a dead fox decomposing, and plumping lips. Then comes the chorus.
The chorus shows the Slightly evolved Katy, with moving face patterns, singing the lines of the song. The chorus is mostly all performance and it shows Katy, just floating around in space. Then a Beautiful Alien Katy comes to view, which signals the 2nd Verse.
This second verse is heavenly. I love it, my favorite part of the video. Moving on, the second verse starts with the Beautiful Katy singing the lines and caressing along the way. Her eyes morph and turn into different kinds of eyes. It dilates, it becomes something similar to an eye of a tiger. Before the end of the verse, it shows another series of vintage videos that show an explosion, pulsating feet, a tiger roaring, and a jaguar killing a gazelle. Then the chorus begins.
The chorus begins with the Beautiful Katy, singing the lines again floating again in space. More footage of Gazelle dying are shown and Katy begins to look like she is in pleasure. The tiger-eyes turn into large blue eyes and she smiles. As the chorus ends, she falls and the breakdown begins.
The breakdown begins with Katy, running in the post-apocalyptic wasteland. She continues to run and soon finds the robot we saw in the beginning. She sings to it and...........
A surprise rap verse is sung by Kanye. Katy continues to sing to the robot. As this rap verse is sung, a face emerges from the robot and it springs to life and stands up. Katy stands up in amazement and some vintage videos of animals mating are shown and Katy kisses the robot.
The final chorus an explosion occurs and the robot Katy was kissing turned into a human being with very big lips. The camera moves down to the torso of the two and Katy picks up a pair of sunglasses (which are of the Vogue eyewear brand, Product Placement!). Katy's elegant robe blows off and reveals Katy's hind legs.
The video ends with them walking into the horizon, holding hands. Fade to black.
OVERALL RATING: 4.9 STARS
Katy's most innovative music video yet. But I feel like this lacks something. The camera was also nauseating. My interpretation of the video however, is similar to the concept of Wall-E; Vintage Music, a wasteland, and a robot. It's a really hidden concept in this video. I love it!!! Except for Kanye's part. It is absolutely amazing and Katy still looks stunning with alien makeup.
